About us

We hope you don't want to know anything about us. Do not contact us. Do not ask any questions. Do not send e-mail. But do not worry. We don't want to meet you, either.

We started geocaching in January 2005 on geocaching.hu, but we have a conflict there with management staff of Association of Hungarian Geocaching (MGKE). In December 2007 we deleted all our logs and photos from their website, and removed the listing of our geocache GCGYAD and our profile and we have said good-by. Since then we have been banned from forums of geocaching.hu according to instructions of president of MGKE.

Viva la resistance!

At this point we “resorted to illegality.” Our “non-violent passive resistance” is not really resistance but a policy and a practice to secure us freedom. We usually seek all interest caches within a radius of cca 50 miles from Budapest and around Lake Balaton. We log our found on geocaching.com if the cache has been published on this site. But we don't write anything on geocaching.hu. If a cache has been published on this site only we don't log our visit anywhere.

Maintaining our privacy is important to us. We do not upload photos of ourselves, our children and families, GPS track, maps, and anythings witch may be contain a personal information. Similarly we don't log our founds when somebody who know where we're could recognize our route and our real identity from logs (eg. when we travel with our friends). Any people of our acquaintances play geocaching but they don't know that we are interested in this game some years ago.

It's not paranoia, it's a game and we don't take seriously. But the bulk of it, is our style. The staff of MGKE stigmatized us as a nameless and faceless agitators, but we like it. It's a crazy feeling. The geocaching is not only treasure hunting for us, but also guerrilla activities and part our secure life.

Yes, it's dangerous. Do not try it!
